How to Donate
The Black Banjo Reclamation Project is accepting banjo contributions so that we may provide instruments to Black folks at reduced rates and in some cases, free of charge as part of our training and granting programs.
We encourage donations of working banjos and parts. We then identify Black craftspeople and luthiers in our community to support with training. We contribute banjos to individuals and we sell banjos to support the work of the BBRP.
We do this to repair, reconnect, heal and learn from our own traditions of the banjo, an instrument with its origins on the African continent.

We are working diligently to grow the footprint of BBRP by increasing our Nation wide offerings of banjo-builds, organizing community-forward events, banjo cohorts and support for luthier apprenticeships. Help us expand our outreach and directly support our cultural education programs with artists’ residencies across the Nation. It truly takes a village. Each of us is powerful in our potential to support everlasting CHANGE
