About the Event
Once again, the Black Banjo Reclamation Project is hosting an in person space that centers Black folks on their journey of banjo connection and reclamation. This year, BBRP is joining in partnership with the Freight & Salvage in a new way! One Friday every month will be a dedicated in person space for one on one banjo instruction. Hannah Mayree will host this space with occasional guest hosts or instructors. Additional dates may also be added to the schedule. Hannah will schedule 30 minute lessons through Calendly for anyone to book at sliding scale including the banjo scholarship program. At 5 pm to 6 pm we will meet for our community lesson which is intended to be a space to learn to play together and can include all string instruments to build our ability to play in formal and casual settings. * Please note, 30 minutes booking are available to…
